Coachella is this weekend — and with it comes the endless motion of sound through the desert air. There’s something undeniable about the rhythm that tastemakers will always crave to satisfy through new genres and the soundscapes they experience soaking in the sun-soaked grooves.
To honor the free spirit of Coachella, I’m shaping this first edition of Frequency Selects from Waveform 35 around artists heating up stages such as the Yuma, Sahara, Do Lab, Outdoor Theater and more — some personal favorites, alongside emerging acts I can’t wait to discover live. Expect shimmering disco grooves from Disco Lines, psychedelic fusion with Glass Beams, intimate energy from Lola Young, and amplified electronic emotions that pull on the heartstrings from Above & Beyond and more.
